Smoothie Recipe 1

One of my go to smoothies “the green machine”  helps me move like a human machine.

Literally the easiest recipe. Here’s how I make it!

Grab some frozen- ripe bananas, kale, Honey mango, Greek yogurt (plus a bit of honey ), super green powder, and almond milk.

Disclaimer/!You can use any green fruit or vegetable you want if you don’t enjoy using powders.

It’s pretty simple! Trust the science behind it all.

Let’s break it down.

The banana helps keep you full, and aids in your potassium intake. It’s good for the heart, bones, and overall health. In turn boosting your energy! Frozen bananas help with the texture of the smoothie.

The kale has the vitamins and minerals you want from the greens. It’s a key green, so you definitely want more than the recommended amount. Kale is super anti-inflammatory and full of antioxidants, this key green gives an extra vitamin and fiber boost.

The honey mango is really for the flavor,  but it has its benefits. It’s full of vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants.

Greek yogurt is a great probiotic. This helps your overall gut health. If you want a flavored yogurt add honey to your yogurt before adding it to your smoothie. ( honey can also be used as a pre workout. Give it a try and your life will change)

Super-greens powder is the dehydrated and ground version of the greens you may not want to pick and wash. The concept of the powder is to get all the benefits ( or at least 90% )  of the greens listed on the packaging. So definitely read the ingredients. Each super-green(s) powder is different.

Almond milk is really the binding agent that also tastes good! I personally love the viscosity of the liquid and its very mild nutty flavor. The benefits are minimal when compared to other milks but I prefer almond milk to cow milk. Hence the banana
